2009 BLACK & WHITE

PANACLED PANACHE was made for the 2009 exhibition of the Quilters Guild of NSW Inc at Darling Harbour, Sydney. The fabric  was made by placing loops of acrylic yarn between two layers of water soluble stabiliser and stitching diagonal lines across them, to make the fabric from which the dress was made. The stems of the roses were crocheted and hand stitched to the dress then the organza roses which were also hand made were attached strategically. Finally a lining of white charmeuse was attached to the completed garment.
In 2009 this dress was entered in Art on Legs (Australia's Fashion Fantasia).
